Patrick Swayze's widow Lisa Niemi remarries to Albert DePrisco
Patrick Swayze's widow Lisa Niemi is starting a happy new chapter with her wedding to 58-year-old jeweller Albert DePrisco. The celebration took place at Florida's Mar-a-Largo Club in front of about 50 guests. She started dating Albert in 2012 - three years after the death of her adored first husband from pancreatic cancer.
Before this weekend's festivities, she said: "What I most look forward to on my wedding day is walking up, standing at our altar, and looking into his most incredible, twinkling eyes. I cannot think of a bigger treat than that.
"Speaking about plans for the ceremony, Lisa said: "We wanted it fresh but happy.
"In keeping with her wish, the service was elegant, but understated with white roses and green and white hydrangeas, reported People.
The 57-year-old bride wore a custom-designed Oscar de la Renta gown.
On their special day, the newlyweds were serenaded by a string quartet led by her nephew Will and his wife Heidi, both concert violinists.
At the reception there was plenty of dancing with the music list including "everything from Michael Bublé and Steve Tyrell, to Seventies classics, to current hits, with a big dash of romance thrown in". Lisa, a former dancer and choreographer, is known for her devotion in nursing Patrick, her husband of 34 years, through his devastating illness. Shortly after his death, she said: "I know I'm stronger now. The fact that I've had some good days definitely gives me hope that I can have more."
