What motivates Kate? "For me, I know that when I'm active, when I'm healthy, when I'm strong, I feel so much better. It never leaves me. I get motivated to do different things, though. One of the things that I find helps a lot of people, number one, is support—like friends, apps, cute clothes. When you look good in something, it does motivate you to say, 'Okay, I'm going to take a walk' or 'I'm going to go for a hike' or 'You know what, I'm going to walk around the block.' The little, tiny things can be really motivating," she told The Thirty.

"When anyone asks me about my beauty regime, my answer is always sleep, water, and healthy food. For me, that's where it all starts. Beauty really comes from how we treat our bodies and how we honor ourselves," Hudson told Marie Claire.

"But the one thing that did change a lot for me is I got really excited about doing my own fitness—not feeling like I had to go anywhere but actually getting into all the different things that were out there. It was really fun dancing with people on live feeds, and then, I discovered so many different apps," she told The Thirty. "I go back and forth between a couple of different things. We did just launch our fitness app for Fabletics, and they're doing a great job, but it's brand-new, so I'll talk about other apps as well. I like an app called Obé. What I love about Obé is it's hard. I find that in some apps, it's not a really hard workout. It seems I can get a real workout, especially with the 45-minute ones."

She created her own supplement company, called INBLOOM. "I hate pills," Hudson told ELLE.com. "And I actually like when things absorb quicker, so I created powders." Why? "I've been asked to do a lot of beauty [in my career], whether it be makeup or skincare, and I love all of it, but I'm a big believer in beauty being an inside-out experience," she told the website. "And so I thought, what better way than to start with a system that I could create, that could support health and nutrition and wellness. I wanted to create an easy, accessible, premium program so that you're getting top ingredients, that there are no synthetics. I wanted everything to be very pure and very little filler."

"I do check out. I go away with [my family], usually to our ranch in Colorado. I sit and look out at the mountains," she told Women's Health. "My doctor says I should be going away on my own, but I'll do that when my kids are a little bit older."
