Michael Jackson's Son Blanket Makes Rare Public Appearance: Photo
Brotherly love! Michael Jackson‘s youngest son, Blanket Jackson, made a rare public appearance over the weekend while celebrating older brother Prince Jackson‘s graduation from college. Blanket, who has shied away from the spotlight in the recent years, was spotted smiling and posing for pics at the joyous celebration on Sunday, May 12.
“Yesterday I graduated from Loyola Marymount University Cum Laude in the school of business with a focus on entrepreneurship. I met so many people and learned so much that the experience alone is worth it,” Prince, 22, captioned a series of pics he shared from the festivities. “Honestly I can’t tell you if all of it was worth it yet, but I am proud of my degree as I believe it is a testament to my dedication and discipline. I’m thankful for LMU’s education of a whole person and the implementation of Jesuit values because I believe they inspire graduates like me to continue to change the world for the better.”

While Prince and sister Paris Jackson have come to embrace the Hollywood limelight their father left behind, Blanket, 17, has rarely been spotted out in public since Michael’s tragic death in 2009. The teen — who was born Prince Michael Jackson II — currently attends a private school in Los Angeles and lives under the guardianship of cousin T.J. Jackson. Up until 2017, the three Jackson kids were under the care of their grandmother, Katherine Jackson.
Fans of the late “Thriller” singer mostly remember Blanket for the time when he was held over a balcony railing by Michael in 2002 at just 9 months old. Though the music icon insisted he was just trying to show off Blanket — whose face was covered by a towel — the incident sparked massive outrage.
Following the scary situation, Michael apologized in a statement. “I offer no excuses for what happened,” the message read. “I got caught up in the excitement of the moment. I would never intentionally endanger the lives of my children.”
We just know Michael would be so proud of his kids and that they miss him!
