John Schneider Marries Girlfriend Alicia Allain Despite Divorce Drama With Estranged Wife Elvira

Actor John Schneider married his girlfriend Alicia Allain today, despite his divorce from his estranged wife Elvira “Elly” Schneider not being finalized.

John and Alicia tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in a barn at the John Schneider Studios in Holden, Louisiana. They gave People magazine a statement regarding their special, yet unconventional, special day.

“This has been a wonderful celebration, a sanctuary of love. Just a perfect day of celebrating with friends and family” shared Alicia

Now since Schneider is still legally married to Elly, he and Alicia could not legally get hitched.

They could no longer wait to express their love for each other, so they got married “before God” as they explained to their guests. Once the couple exchanged vows in the barn, guests were led to an outdoor reception filled with dancing, fireworks, and a lot of kissing.

Elvira “Elly” Schneider filed for divorce from the Dukes of Hazzard actor almost five years ago in September 2014. She cited irresponsible differenced as her reason for requesting the dissolution of marriage.

The ongoing drama appears to have to do with money or lack thereof it on John’s part. He was ordered to pay Elly a whopping $18,000 a month. However, a considerable amount of debt and financial woes reportedly stopped him from paying. In June 2018 John was sentenced to three days in jail for failing to pay $150,000 in alimony to his estranged wife.

Despite being on Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots, as well as having a successful production company, John is reportedly still having money woes. He spoke about his ongoing divorce when he appeared on Dancing With The Stars in 2018. The drama has caused a rift with his three adult children, who John said on the reality TV show do not speak to him.

John Schneider is moving on with his life, despite his ongoing divorce battle with his estranged Elvira “Elly” Schneider. The actor had a spiritual ceremony where he married his girlfriend of four years, Alicia Allain. They are not letting legality get in the way of their happily ever after.
